Derry Kissack, one of the legendary stunt group's founders, was presented with his British empire Medal by the Lieutenant Governor on Thursday.
As part of the celebrations, one of the Helmets made an appearance at Government House.
Former Lieutenant Governor Sir Ian Macfadyen praised Derry in a letter which recalled him inviting the group to Government House more than 20 years ago.
