The Public Health Directorate have been quick to dash rumours that a case of MRSA USA 300 has been found in a local swimming pool.
The Department of Health would like to assure members of the public that no strains of MRSA have been detected in any sporting or recreational facilities as yet.
The public are being urged not to avoid these facilities, specifically they say there is no need to keep children away from swimming pools.
