The Department of Health would like to assure members of the public that no strains of MRSA have been detected in any sporting or recreational facilities as yet.
The public are being urged not to avoid these facilities, specifically they say there is no need to keep children away from swimming pools.
So far only a very small number of cases of MRSA USA 300 have been isolated on the Island.
