The average Isle of Man income is a sign of the Island’s place as an offshore jurisdiction.
That’s the view of the public after it was revealed that the average salary is £44,660 a year - a substantial £23,000 more than the UK.
We spoke to people in Douglas – they told us they think it’s down to the need for highly paid specialist workers, and the simple fact that the Island is tax-attractive:
