The closure of the post office in Port St Mary won't affect the newsagents its based in.
That's the message from Jeff Calvert - the Co Director of the newsagents in the village.
It comes following the Post Office announcing the counter service, which is run from the newsagents on Bay View Road will close at the end of this month after an unsuccessful two-week tender process.
It's sparked criticism from two local MHK's - Dr Michelle Haywood and Juan Watterson.
Now, Mr Calvert has expressed any closure will not affect the newsagents - and it will continue to provide all other services, irrespective of the Post Office counter.
Jeff said he wanted to squash rumours that are 'simply not true' and has reiterated it will be business as usual.
