A potential major new marina for the Island would aim to meet growing demand from boat owners and boost the economy, according to government.
Expressions of interest are being invited for ideas to create the facility which would have focus on running 24 hours a day, having over 250 berths and would compliment existing marinas in Peel and Douglas.
Officials say the Island has a high ratio of boat ownership compared with the UK and current waiting lists indicate a strong call for more amenities.
The government now wants to hear ideas from 'private enterprise' on how it could be made possible - expressions can be submitted to the procurement portal before Wednesday, August 28.
