The developers behind plans for nearly 50 homes in Castletown say it could 'support growth' in the area.
Hartford Homes has submitted proposals for 48 houses as an extension of the Knock Rushen project.
Director, James Greenhalgh, says the planned development is in a 'very sustainable location' for public amenities.
If their application is successful, the company adds it's looking to start work immediately.
