Works are progressing on getting the Laxey Wheel turning once more.
Manx National Heritage says a defective timber rod which had been the cause of issues at the landmark has now been removed after a number of delays.
DOI staff will now install new metalwork and timbers to get it back up and running with MNH thanking residents and visitors for their patience.
The wheel was stopped on safety grounds in August after the timber rod issue was uncovered during routine matinenance works - the heritage site has remained open as normal.
