A drink-driver who almost drove over a cliff after downing a bottle of prosecco has been put on probation.
Allison Burns of Hillberry Lakes in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 44 year old admitted drink-driving and having no licence on Marine Drive on January 17.
She drove to a car park shortly before 3.30pm before drinking the wine and driving into bushes near a cliff - police found she was two and a half times the legal limit.
She was given an 18-month probation order and banned from driving for five years as well as being ordered to pay £125 costs.
