The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says it's considering privatising the Island's Meat Plant.
In the House of Keys yesterday Minister Geoffrey Boot faced questions about the future of the heavily-subsidised facility.
He confirmed the operation had been losing money since the doors to meat imports were opened some years ago.
And he revealed the government will now look for a private company to run the plant:
