The President of Tynwald has described the late Dr Brian Stowell as a 'great Manxman' following his death last week.
Steve Rodan paid tribute to the scholar who died at the age of 82 last Friday - saying he made a 'lasting contribution to Manx culture'.
Dr Stowell was The Reader on Tynwald Day from 2001 to 2012 and received the Tynwald Honour in 2010.
The President is passing on his condolences to the family at this time.
