Power Outage In The North

Hospital Experiencing Some Technical Issues But Are Open As Normal

There's been a power cut in the North of the Island this morning.

Andreas up to the Point of Ayre are affected.

The Manx Electricity Authority say there will be a loss of power and flickering lights in other areas in the North of the Island.

It has been caused by a 3rd party cable damage.

Dimming of lights has been reported across the Isle of Man. Engineers have said this occurs when the automatic equipment tries to restore power.

Business is as normal at Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital but they are currently experiencing problems with computers and phones.

Ramsey and Bride had power restored shortly before 11AM.

Some isolated supplies still remain off located between Ramsey and Andreas
