The Post Office says it's trying out some improved services for customers over the Christmas period.
A number of 'service enhancements trials' will be starting in selected areas in an attempt to improve its services.
They'll be on an 'opt-in' basis and include alternate parcel delivery arrangements, delivery notifications by text, online tracking of notice left parcels and extended opening hours.
Customers in the areas involved have been invited to take part - general mail manager Geoff Rickard says the changes come from customer feedback:
