Safety railings on a footpath in Port St Mary have been replaced due to being in 'particularly poor condition.'
The railings the length of The Catwalk, which links the beach to the harbour, had been exposed to harsh winter conditions and had become rusted.
The Department of Infrastructure says the contractor made new ones from galvanized steel, which have been painted with marine grade paint.
The Catwalk was built as a winter works scheme between 1962-65.
