Politicians in parking permit row

Plans to charge for parking permits have been slammed for hitting drivers in the pocket.

The Department of Infrastructure wants to charge £25 for the annual permit - which allows people to park on the streets around their homes. 
 
However, it's not a decision that's gone down particularly well with Douglas MHKs. Brenda Cannell represents those living in East Douglas, she's angry at the Minister:
 
 
Phil Gawne has apologised, saying he deeply regrets having to place more strain on those who are already under "incredible financial pressure".
 
However he says everyone must take the hit:
