Police are warning people to be on their guard after bogus callers reportedly called at a property in the south of the Island.
They say two people, claiming to be from a government department, gained access to a property on Friday.
Officers say enquiries are ongoing but it's a timely reminder not to let anyone into your home who you don't know.
They're also urging people to ask for identification from anyone who asks for access.
