People are being told to ensure they lock their outbuildings up to avoid opportunistic thieves.
Last week, several metal cases containing power tools were stolen from the garden shed of a property on Malew Street in Castletown.
It happened between 1.30pm on Thursday and 10am on Friday.
Police say thieves are opportunists and will keep trying doors until they hit lucky and find one open.
Anyone who has been offered the tools for sale has been asked to contact Castletown Police Station
