Police are warning of another banking scam which is targeting residents.
The constabulary has received reports of people getting messages from fraudsters claiming to be from their bank saying a new payee has been set up, and if you didn't create it to click a link.
However, officers are warning the messages are bogus and to not click on the link as con artists use these to steal personal and financial details.
As a result, authorities are asking anyone who gets a message like it to ignore it.
We have had numerous reports about this text message. It is a scam and not from a bank. Just ignore them. Never click...
