Keeping strong links with the community is a high priority as the Island's demographic changes.
That's according to the Western Neighbourhood Policing Team which is holding a 'Brew with a Bobby' drop-in event in Peel today.
It's aimed at older members of the community and will be held at Westlands Lounge in Peel between 10am and 12pm.
Sergeant Gavin Callow says they need to ensure the ever increasing older population do not feel neglected and despite recent cuts to the police force, community work and neighbourhood style policing, is still important:
