Police say they’re treating nationalist graffiti at the governor’s house simply as a matter of criminal damage.
A phrase written partly in Manx which roughly translates to ‘go away governor’ was written in white paint in the driveway on Governor’s Road.
The culprits also appear to have vandalised the top entrance at Bedstead Corner.
The same area was also targeted on Senior Race Day.
Department of Infrastructure staff have been tasked with cleaning up the paint.
A string of similar incidents happened across the island in 2010 and the police were criticised by some people who considered officers were using a heavy handed approach to tackle the problem.
