Vandals Leave Debris Left on Track and Throw Stones At Train
Douglas police are urging parents to keep a close eye on their children over the Summer holidays following a spate of vandalism on the Steam Railway line.
Most dangerous of all was the scaffolding poles and wheelbarrow that had been left on the tracks, while drivers have also reported incidents of stones being thrown at moving trains.
Police are wanting to clampdown on the vandals ahead of the busy period over the Summer Holidays.
People convicted of trespassing on the railway could be fined up to £2,500 under the Passenger Transport Act, while incidents of stone throwing or leaving debris on the lines would be considered criminal damage.
Anyone with information about the vandals is urged to contact the Police immediately.
