Police will begin patrols on the Island's highways to make sure vehicles are being safe around cyclists.
The constabulary confirmed 'operation close pass' will begin soon to raise awareness of motorists keeping a safe distance from those using bicycles on the roads.
Officers say with daylight hours getting longer more people will be heading out on two wheels both for leisure and commuting to and from work.
Authorities took to social media to issue the update.
