Police stopped two visiting motorcyclists riding with provisional licences

You can't legally ride or drive on L plates on the Island if your provisional licence wasn't issued here.

That's the message from police, after they stopped two motorcyclists last week.

Officers are reminding visitors that a provisional licence is not valid outside its country of issue.

They added that the two riders will now enjoy the Island's public transport system for the remainder of their stay while their bikes are looked after.
