 
                            Young people who have an interest in the police force are being urged to sign up as cadets.
The Isle of Man Constabulary has launched a new cadet scheme to give 16-18 year olds an insight into how the service operates.
Volunteers will start in September and will be based in Douglas.
They’ll be taught about the law, police procedures and first aid as well as having the opportunity to go on patrol with experienced officers.
Inspector Mark Britton says there is also an added benefit for those who join up:
