Police investigate case of sheep worrying

Police are investigating after a number of sheep were injured by a dog near Ballasalla.

It happened between 11.30pm and 11.45pm on Saturday, December 22nd on Black Hill on the Crossag Road.

A vet had to be called to treat the sheep which are thought to be in lamb - it’s feared that due to the distress caused the animals could now miscarry.

Police are reminding dog owners that it’s an offence not to have dogs under control at all times.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Castletown Police Station on 822222.
