The new police officer in charge of the central neighbourhood team has been speaking out about the challenges ahead as he takes up one of the busiest jobs in the force.
Inspector Mark Britton now has responsibility for the division which covers Douglas, Onchan and Braddan.
He's taken over from Inspector Phil Shimmin.
The community focused approach to policing has proved a winning formula in recent years with continued low crime rates for the Island.
Inspector Britton says it’s his goal to continue keeping crime levels low but says there are always fresh challenges the constabulary is presented with:
