Police are appealing for witnesses after a bookcase destined for a charity project was stolen from the street in Douglas.
The dark mahogany case, which is around 5 feet in height, was taken from Albany Street between 5.50pm and 5.55pm yesterday.
The item had been left outside a house for just minutes while a van was being moved so that it could be transported.
Police say they would like to speak to two men who were seen carrying a piece of furniture into Woodbourne Lane at the time.
One is described as being Asian or European, in his 30s or 40s with balding hair. He was wearing a grey hoodie and black tracksuit bottoms.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
