Police say they'll be out and about on the Island's roads in the run-up to Christmas to make sure cars are roadworthy.
Neighbourhood Policing Teams say they'll be conducting winter checks at various locations and times.
Officers will be checking lights and tyres, as well as watching for people using mobile phones or speeding.
Their advice is to give your car the once-over to make sure it's fit for the road - or get a specialist to do it for you.
