Some residents on a Douglas street were evacuated yesterday as police dealt with 'potentially unstable chemicals' at an address.
Officers say some of those within the Port-E-Chee Avenue area were told to do so as a precaution.
They added as part of a joint emergency services operation the chemicals were then successfully disposed of.
The Constabulary also confirmed that no members of the public were put at risk and that public health was not compromised.
