Police appeal for information following assault on Bus Driver

Police in Peel are appealing for information following an act of assault on a Bus Driver.

Shortly before midnight on Saturday the driver was hit with a stone as the bus was stopped so he could move some obstacles that had purposefully been left in the road.

The bus was travelling along Main Road in Glen Vine towards Douglas.

The only description of the offender at this time is that he's a young male aged between 16 and 20 years.

Police would like to stress that leaving obstacles in roadways, especially on unlit main roads, can cause a great danger to motorists.

Anyone with more information is asked to come forward.
