Police are appealing for a dog owner to come forward after a person was bitten whilst walking today.
Officers say it happened on the coastal path opposite Ballagyr Farm in the west of the Island.
They say they believe the dog owner was aware of what happened but refused to provide the victim with their details.
The woman – described as in her early twenties – was also in charge of two others dogs and had the leads of all three attached to her belt.
The offending dog is believed to be a light brown collie – the other two dogs were wearing muzzles.
Anyone who can help with the investigation is asked to contact Peel Police Station.
