With the improved weather and with the TT just around the corner, the stretch of road will see a significant increase in traffic, which in the past has led to more collisions.
The Isle of Man Constabulary and the Department of Infrastructure are launching a new initiative designed to reduce accidents on the stretch of Mountain Road between Ramsey and Douglas.
With the improved weather and with the TT just around the corner, the stretch of road will see a significant increase in traffic, which in the past has led to more collisions.
As part of the campaign they're wanting to remind the public that the Mountain Road will once again be one-way during the TT festival.
This system has been in force for a few years now and has seen a significant decrease in head on and fatal collisions.
The ‘Mountain Safe’ campaign is in place now, with a billboard poster visible at the hairpin in Ramsey.
