A plantation in Ramsey is set to become the gateway to creating the Island's first forest.
Claughbane plantation will create part of the Hairpin Woodland Park, which will be launched by the government and the Manx Wildlife Trust in 2024.
The Biosphere project aims to link and expand existing wooded areas on the Island to create a forest.
CEO of Manx Wildlife Trust Leigh Morris says it's a wonderful site for wildlife and people with many unique features, and they plan to gradually convert it into an accessible, nature rich native woodland.
