Could an iconic Island landmark be set for a revamp?
Plans have been put forward to carry out internal refurbishments at the Point of Ayre Lighthouse in Bride.
In the application from the owner of the building, the proposals would include converting the outbuilding into a kitchen, making changes to the keepers cottage and reinstating a staircase to the cellar.
Structural Engineering Service Ltd. says the alterations would be minor and wouldn't compromise any parts of the structure.
