A new planning application has been submitted to turn the Trevelyan Hotel site into apartments.
It sets out to assess the current layout of the property and identify challenges to modernize the look and use of the building, which is located on Douglas Prom.
The plan is to demolish the back of the hotel and create 15 new apartments - five studio, five one beds and five two beds - a quarter of these will be deemed affordable housing.
The application says the existing tourism of the Trevelyan has been affected by the pandemic, and the style made is less popular then more modern hotels.
Plans also include the creation of a basement car park for 13 vehicles, and bicycle storage.
