The Government is planning on introducing a sugar tax on Island next year.
Treasuy Minister Alf Cannan revealed the news in the House of Keys earlier this week.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse quizzed the Minister on the matter.
In response, Mr Cannan said he plans to introduce the levy at the beginning of April in 2019.
