The Economic Development Minister has praised plans for a major expansion to Pinewood Studios.
The film company has requested permission for a £200 million project to update the site in Buckinghamshire.
It comes in the same week it was revealed the studio will host the shoots for the continuation of the Star Wars series.
The Island is tied to Pinewood after government invested over £12 million in the company, whilst handing over the £25 million media development fund.
It was a deal which proved controversial with some politicians - however John Shimmin says they failed to see the potential:
