Olympic Gold medallist Peter Kennaugh has surprised many by pulling out of this afternoon’s Men’s 400m Individual Pursuit race.
The 25-year-old will instead focus on this weekend’s 20km Scratch and 40km Points race as well as the highly anticipated Men’s Road Race final on August 3rd.
The news will be a blow for Team Isle of Man as the Onchan rider was widely tipped to perform well in today’s event.
