Treasury Minister Alex Allinson is to ask Tynwald members to back moves asking the public about the future of pensions.
During Tynwald's April sitting next week, he'll put a motion forward about the way the Manx state pension is increased in future.
It's after he suggested scrapping the triple-lock system earlier this year.
When the court sits in Douglas next Tuesday, he'll ask for its backing to hold a public consultation.
