A pensioner has died after being hit by a car.
The 74 year man was walking in the Kirk Michael area on Friday evening when the car collided with him. He was taken to Nobles where he later died.
The car was being driven by a 48 year old man from Ballaugh.
An investigation has been launched by the roads policing unit.
Details of the victims identity have not yet been released.
