The Treasury Minister has refuted claims of scaremongering over the future of the state pension.
With a bleak prognosis for the National Insurance fund over the next 20 years it begs serious questions about the sustainability of pension provision.
Eddie Teare says all possible avenues are being explored, with changes potentially coming in from as early as April next year.
He says the public will be kept well within the loop as a new way forward is formulated:
