A feline which managed to turn a cooking hob on resulted in a call out to the Fire Service.
Yesterday Douglas and Peel fire crews responded to a structure fire in St John's.
They found a property heavily smoke logged but no signs of a fire - on entry they found an item left on a hob which they believed a house cat may have switched on.
Officers also reminded people not to panic when they see a fire engine and to pull-over safely on the roads.
