Enforcement of new parking laws at Noble's Hospital will come into force later this week.
It comes following the announcement of tougher new rules after concerns there weren't enough disabled bays available, due to non-permit holders using them.
The rules involve checking if motorists have the right to park in disabled bays, have up-to-date tax discs and aren't leaving their cars in restricted areas.
As a result the hospital’s parking areas will be actively policed, and penalties including fines will be issued to those who breach the new regulations.
Proposals to put the measures in places were originally suggested back in October where members of the public were given the chance to have their say on the idea.
The new order will be in place for all parking areas on the hospital, apart from the car parks at the Hospice and Manannan Court.
