The parish walk takes place this Saturday with a record number of entries.
1,710 people have entered in the endurance challenge.
This year there are extra road closures in place to ensure walker safety and improve traffic management.
The organising committee and police are urging all motorists to be aware of the people walking in the road.
Officers from the roads policing unit will be around the course. Inspector Mark Britton is urging people to be wary of other road users, be it driving or on foot. (audio above)
