Parents of children eligible for pre-school credit are reminded that they can now submit applications.
The Government funded credit scheme is set to come into force from September when the Department of Education and Children’s pre-school provision comes to an end.
The revised arrangements were announced in March by the Council of Ministers’ working party on pre-school provision.
The £350 credit certificate is available to parents of children who reach their fourth birthday between 1st September 2012 and 31stAugust 2013.
There is also an additional £800 for those who would be eligible for free school meals.
The Government’s Customer First team is administering the credit scheme and application forms can be made online, or by collecting forms from the Welcome Centre.
