Sotherby’s in London held the sale following the death of the watchmaker who lived on the Isle of Man.
137 lots were auctioned with two pieces raising well over £1 million each.
These included the "space travellers’ watch” in 18k yellow gold and a Joseph Knibb silver mounted ebony table clock which dates back to 1677.
