Over a quarter of the energy imported from the UK last year was classified as green.
That's according to Manx Utilities chair John Wanneburgh, answering a question in Tynwald this week from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse.
Mr Wannenburgh says it shows the demand for clean energy is rising among the Island's businesses.
He went on to explain how much had been spent on electricity brought in via the undersea interconnector cable:
