Over 1500 turn out for Peelstock

With the weather vastly improving throughout the day on Saturday the charity fundraising day of live music, Peelstock, proved to be a resounding success.

Its organisers estimate they had over 1500 people through the gates on the day.

Prior to the event they had £200,000 of their £300,000 target, which will then go on a community sports facility for Peel.

Although they’re yet to work out how much profit they made for the charity it’s estimated that they made over £20,000 from Saturday’s event.

They had another day planned for Sunday, which had to be cancelled due to the poor weather.
