Police surveillance at Isle of Man ports has resulted in more than ten arrests in five weeks.
An intelligence-led police campaign was launched at the end of June when the government relaxed border restrictions.
Now in its sixth week, Operation Stongbox has seen around ten arrests for various offences including possession of Class A drugs and illegal firearms.
A constabulary spokesman said people have also been stopped for carrying large quantities of cash, "believed to be the proceeds of crime".
Police have engaged with around 1,500 vehicles,1,000 foot passengers and carried out over a hundred searches.
The border patrol is a partnership with customs and excise, Lancashire Constabulary and Merseyside Police- it was extended to the airport as flight numbers increased.
