Garff Commissioners have submitted plans for outdoor showers next to the Laxey Beach Stop Café.
The planning application involves two shower columns with drainage on the area of grass next to the public shelter.
It comes following a petition to stop the local authority taking over the shelter which is currently used by the café.
The petition currently has over 6,000 signatures.
