Open house 'Big Debates' get underway in December

Open house "Big Debates" will take place next month as the next phase of government's 'national conversation'.

Two public meetings will take place at the Manx Museum in Douglas on December 2nd and at QEII high school in Peel on the 4th.

Reducing the size and cost of government, making it more responsive and modernising the welfare system are the topics of discussion on the nights.

Policy and Reform Minister Chris Robertshaw says the format has changed, but it needs to be comparable with the invitation-only events:
